Selection Procedure


Selection Procedure

The selection is based on the performance / grading of a candidate in the following:-

  • Written Test / MCQ's
  • Descriptive Test / Intelligence Test
  • Interview
  • Medical Examination at your nearest CMH

Note: Candidates appearing for admission in F.Sc (1st Year), due weightage will be given to marks in SSC Board exam.

Admission Test

Written test is conducted at the following stations:

• Punjab Sarai Alamgir, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Sargodha
• Sindh Karachi, Hyderabad, Pano Aqil.
• KPK Peshawar, Abbottabad.
• Balochistan Quetta
• Northern Area Gilgit
• Kashmir Muzzafarabad

Note: Detailed list of stations both for class 8th and 1st year for written exam, intelligence test / interview and medical exam will be mentioned later on.

Syllabus for Written Test

The test will be conducted from the subjects / syllabus explained below:

Class 8

Written test for class 8th is taken from within the Punjab Text Book Board books of Class 7th, 6th & 5th in the subjects of English, Mathematics, General Science, Urdu and Islamiat (Pakistan Studies for Non-Muslims).

FSc (1st Year)

Written Test for class 1st Year is taken from within the Punjab Text Book Board books of 9th & 10th class in the subjects of English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Note: The results of Written Test are communicated only to the candidates who meet the requisite merit.

Intelligence Test / descriptive Test

Candidates who qualify Written Test for admission in class 8th are called for Intelligence Test and Interview at one of the major cities. Effort is made to call candidates to a location closer to their home station, depending on the number of candidates. Only the candidates who qualify Intelligence Test appear in the interview.

Medical examination

The candidates are medically examined at the CMH nearest to their home station. In case, an applicant is rejected on medical grounds, he has the option to invoke and apply for Appeal Medical Board. However, this must be done within seven days of the declaration of medical results by CMH, otherwise the candidate will not be considered for re-examination.

Final Selection

candidate's final selection is made on the overall merit achieved by him in Written Test, Intelligence Test and Interview. Therefore, only passing of the tests does not entitle a candidate to admission. In case of FSc (1st Year), Matric results are also given due weightage.
